Through the eMAMA project, the consortium is collaborating to develop a mobile application designed as a digital learning tool. This innovative app will serve as a resource both during and beyond the project’s lifespan, aiming to enhance the learning experience while offering accessible, reliable support for maternal mental health care.

A digital learning tool can take many forms, such as software, applications, platforms, or other digital resources, and is designed to enhance the teaching and learning experience for anyone involved. These tools can support teachers by offering diverse methods and functionalities for instruction, as well as new ways to communicate and interact with learners. Similarly, those tools can benefit students by providing techniques to assess knowledge through various approaches, introducing a multitude of new learning methods, habits, and mechanisms. One of the key advantages of digital learning tools lies in their flexibility. They are often accessible to a wide range of users, allowing anyone to become a learner—whether they are students, teachers, young professionals, researchers, or members of society at large. This accessibility contributes to a more dynamic and adaptable learning experience.

eMAMAs Approach to Overcoming Digital Learning Challenges

In response to the challenges faced during the development and implementation of digital learning tools, the eMAMA consortium is committed to addressing these obstacles, focusing on the development of clear and comprehensive usage guidelines. In the same way, the launching of the app will be accompanied with local support and training to address regional disparities, especially in the Sub-Saharan region, by organizing piloting, testing, and launch sessions. Finally, the device compatibility is one of the aspect the consortium is working on, to maximize accessibility and ensure it works across a wide range of devices.
